Staff Reporter

MALAPPURAM: The district unit of the Kerala Pravasi Sanghom will offer training in gem cutting and bead making to expatriates. The course is part of a move to help rehabilitate financially backward expatriate families.

Forty expatriates each from Tirur, Eranad, Tirurangadi and Perinthalmanna taluks will be given training. Those between 18 and 45 years of age can join the course, said the Sanghom secretary. Gem cutting and bead making had great employment potential in the country and abroad, said the secretary.

Those interested should apply to the secretary, District Pravasi Sanghom, Jubilee Road, Uphill, Malappuram 676505, with a Rs.5-stamped envelop before January 30. For details, contact chief executive officer Karuniyan Najeeb (ph: 94477 55232).
