Meet of scientists, engineers planned

As part of National Science Day

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Pampa Parirakshana Samiti (PPS), the Kozhencherry-based environmental group campaigning for the cause of the Pampa for the last 12 years, will organise a meeting of scientists and engineers from the river basin region as part of the National Science Day celebrations on February 28.

In a statement here, PPS general secretary N.K. Sukumaran Nair said that the meeting would be held at the Environmental Resource Centre at Poovthur near Aranmula.

He said the samiti was planning to prepare a data book of scientists and engineers in the Pampa river basin region in the districts of Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha.

Mr. Nair said the resume of scientists and engineers should be sent to the Environment Resource Centre, Poovathur P.O, Koipram, Thiruvalla-689531, Mr. Nair added.
