Photos to be added to city voters' list

CHENNAI : Photo electoral rolls of voters for assembly constituencies in the city are being updated. Officials clarified that the exercise is solely to get the photos of people whose names are already on the rolls.

Officials are visiting door-to-door to correct the rolls and giving notices about when photos would be taken. In case the voter is likely to be out at the time the photographing team arrives, they may give a recent passport-size photograph, attached to the intimation notice, to the officer concerned or the related Corporation Zonal Office.

The exercise is being carried out across the state.
