Colourful show by international students

Ethnic dance and music performances organised

Bangalore: The swinging steps of Sri Lankan girls, melody of Bhutanese music and the thunderous beats of African dance — the International Day of Students organised by the International Council for Cultural Relations in collaboration with Bangalore University at the Jnanajyothi auditorium here had all this and more.

Students from 40 countries participated in the culturally vibrant programme, which included ethnic dance and music performances by international students studying in various colleges coming under Bangalore University.

There were colourful performances by students from countries, including Bhutan, Bangladesh, Yemen, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Tanzania, Fiji, Nepal, Sudan and Bahrain.

H.M. Revannasiddaiah, director, Student Relations, and R.M.N. Sahai, Registrar of the university, spoke. J.W. Lobo, director of ICCR, was present.
