Mumbai: Reigning champion Mahindra United suffered its first reversal in the 11th National Football League when it lost 1-0 to Sporting Clube de Goa at the Cooperage Ground here on Monday. Captain Macpherlin Dudu Omagbemi netted the winner in the 42nd minute. The surprise result saw Mahindra United squandering a good chance to widen the gap at the top. Apart from a brief bright passage of play in the second half, Mahindra completely failed to recapture the form of its earlier matches. — PTI
