Auto drivers' strike to to continue

HYDERABAD: The auto-strike will continue indefinitely till the demand for scrapping of GO 213, making it mandatory for installation of digital fare meters, was scrapped, the Struggle Committee Against Auto Digital Meters, spearheading the indefinite strike, announced on Monday.

In a statement, committee spokesman Mohd. Amanullah Khan said the demand was for continuation of mechanical meters and stringent action against those tampering the meters to collect extra fare from passengers. Mr. Khan appealed to the Government to invite the auto drivers for talks.
