NEW DELHI: Mother Dairy has decided to raise the prices of all varieties of milk by one rupee with effect from this Wednesday. This is the third time in the past one year that Mother Dairy would be hiking the milk prices. According to Mother Dairy officials, toned-bulk-vended milk will be available at Rs. 17 per litre while full-cream poly-pack milk will be priced at Rs. 22 per litre. Similarly standardised and toned poly-pack milk will be available at Rs. 20 per litre and Rs. 18 per litre, respectively. The co-operative has decided to sell double-toned and skimmed milk poly-pack, respectively, at Rs. 16 per litre and Rs. 14 per litre. It was in last February and September that the co-operative had increased the prices of milk in the city. Sources said Mother Dairy is likely to increase the prices of its milk products like curds and cheese over the next month. Following the Mother Dairy move, consumers fear private milk suppliers might also increase their milk prices. - PTI.
