Novel protest

It was a novel way of protest against a long-standing issue of the city.

Nationalist Congress Party activists took out a march to the Kochi Corporation office on Tuesday to record their protest against the failure of the civic administrators to remove garbage from the city.

It was with a wreath made of garbage and an effigy of the Mayor that the party workers took out the procession.

They also conferred an award, chavar ratna, on the Mayor.

The Nationalist Congress Party activists will also lay siege to the Kochi Corporation office on January 31.
