Majestic CC in quarterfinals

Madurai: Half Centuries by Tayub (53) and Prabu (51) helped Majestic Cricket Club defeat High Court Cricket Club by 98 runs and enter the quarterfinals of the Alagiri birthday District-level cricket tournament at Madurai on Monday.

The scores (pre-quarterfinals):

Majestic CC 193 for four in 18 overs (Tayub53, Prabu 51) bt Hight Count CC 95 for three in 18 overs.

First round:

Pykara C.C 145 in 18 overs ( Babu 35, Sabari four for 24) bt Majestic Cubs 135 for four in 18 overs (Robin 50 not out); Babu Academy 175 for six in 19 overs (Nirmal 37, Shyam 70) bt Jolly Rovers CC 137 for seven in 19 overs.

TT tournament

The Dindigul District Table Tennis Association, in association with Rotary Club of Dindigul Queen City and Doctors Table Tennis Club, will organise the fourth annual State-level table tennis tournament at Dindigul on December 27 and 28.

Match drawn

Dudley Football Club drew with Sun Football Club 1-1 in the Dindigul District Football Association Nursery league at Dindigul on Tuesday.

Mohan scored for Sun Club in the 9th minute and Clement Raj scored the equaliser for Dudley Club in the 39th minute.
