Special Correspondent

CHANDIGARH: Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Gupta has sought the opinion of welfare associations and voluntary agencies for preparing a strategic approach to make Gurgaon one of the fastest growing urban centres in the country.

In a statement released here on Tuesday. Mr.Gupta said that Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had announced several policies for the integrated development of the city so that it could be transformed as an international hub.

Integrated approach

Mr.Gupta said that the district administration had initiated an integrated approach for evolution of Gurgaon-Manesar as a twin township to serve both the residents and cater to the needs of the industry.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner,.Satya Prakash T.L., had been deputed to coordinate initiatives in this connection.

He said that Gurgaon would not be allowed to turn into an urban squalor, where the living would be a nightmarish experience.
