HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has alleged that some Congress and Telugu Desam leaders, worried about their political fortunes, are creating hurdles in the formation of separate Telangana. Admitting former Adilabad ZP Congress floor leader Srihari Rao and his followers from Nirmal Assembly segment into the party fold here on Tuesday, he alleged that successive rulers had neglected Adilabad district and pointed out that the Congress Government was also following the same policy. He accused the Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy of diverting the IIT sanctioned for the State, particularly Basar, to Medak district. Notwithstanding the protests from people of Telangana, the Chief Minister continued to encourage the constructions at Pothireddypadu head regulator to discharge more water to Rayalaseema. Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao took a dig at the Congress leaders from Telangana for not raising their voice against the injustice being meted out to the region. Senior TRS leader A. Narendra and Adilabad MP T.Madhusudan Reddy were present.
