HYDERABAD: The Task Force police on Tuesday arrested two persons, including an alleged drug peddler, on charge of possessing illegal firearms. Two country-made short firearms and five company-made live .303 bore rounds were recovered from drug peddler Syed Aslam (30), a native of Kanpur and his accomplice Mohammed Sharfuddin (26) of Mahboob Colony in Tappachabutra. Mr. Limba Reddy said Anwargunj and Kanpur police caught Aslam on two occasions for possession of narcotics. He was also associated with some anti-social elements in Kanpur. "We are also trying to contact the Uttar Pradesh police to collect more information about Aslam," he said. The Punjagutta police have taken up the case.
