BANGALORE: The Internet has helped many people looking for psychological counselling. Going a step further, a portal has been launched to offer counselling by qualified psychologists and counsellors on relationships. The portal www.relationshipforever.com provides round-the-clock support to the needy. Launched by HP IT Solutions, the website can be accessed even by someone without computer skills. The identities of users and counsellors are kept confidential. With a growth of 54 per cent in the number of Internet users in India, the promoters of the website foresee a huge user base by December-end.
Major concern
Here's the rationale behind a separate portal for relationships: "Issues related to relationships have become a major concern in today's life. People lead a very erratic and stressful lifestyle with tight schedules. Unknowingly, people keep damaging their relationships, which can be taken care of by devoting some time in understanding and modifying behavioural patterns that can be only identified and corrected by the help of a professional." Not much help is available since the number of nuclear families is on the rise.
