ALAPPUZHA: The 29th State conference of the Udupi Madhva Brahmana Sabha will be held at Bheema Bhattar Nagar (Sree Ram Mandir Auditorium) here on January 27 and 28. At a press conference here, sabha State president B. Girirajan and general secretary S. Narayanan said the conference would begin with arts and sports competitions on January 27 at 9 a.m. Working president of the sabha L. Ramachandra Rao would inaugurate the competitions. A seminar on the problems faced by temple priests would be held at 10 a.m. on January 28. A cultural rally would be held at 2.30 p.m., which would be followed by a public meeting at 3.30 p.m. Kottayam Collector Raju Narayana Swami would inaugurate the public meeting. Leaders of the sabha would distribute scholarships and awards to students and noted members of the community at the function.
