Chandrashekar dead

BANGALORE: Artist and former president of Karnataka Lalithakala Academy M.S. Chandrashekar (92) died here on Wednesday. He was ailing for some time.

Registrar of the Karnataka Lalithakala Academy B.T. Munirajaiah has in a condolence message said the paintings of Chandrashekar were in great demand across the country. Chandrashekar had also served as the advisor on creative paintings in the Kerala Legislature. He was honoured by the Karnataka Lalithakala Academy in 1982. He was given Varnashilapi Venkatappa award in 2000.

Academy president V.T. Kale has also condoled Chandrashekar's death.
