Union Bank raises interest rate

KOCHI: The Union Bank of India (UBI) has raised the interest rate of the Union Double Plus Deposit Scheme from 8 per cent to 8.32 per cent. The depositor will now be able to double the money in a shorter span of 101 months, the bank said in a press release. The insurance cover will continue under the revised scheme also.

The free cover, without any medical examination, is available for individuals up to 45 years of age.
