Rs. 3,199-cr. investment in coastal districts

BANGALORE:
Fourteen companies, including Wipro Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services, have proposed an investment of Rs. 3,199 crore in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Industries Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu told presspersons here on Wednesday that the Government was promoting investment in Tier II and Tier III cities to eliminate regional disparity in industrial development.
The companies had assured an investment of Rs. 3,199 crore on 426 acres in the two coastal districts.
