BJP releases its list of nominees for appointment as chiefs of boards

Bangalore: President of the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) D.V.Sadananda Gowda, MP, on Wednesday announced the names of 38 party workers, including 17 legislators, for appointment as chairpersons to various boards and corporations.

They will be appointed by the State Government on Thursday.

The list of legislators include senior MLAs H.S. Shankaralinge Gowda from Mysore, Araga Jnanendra from Tirthahalli in Shimoga district, P.C. Mohan from Bangalore, N. Yogish Bhat from Mangalore and the lone MLC Vimala Gowda.

The other MLAs who have been accommodated by the party are Rajendra Verma from Bidar; Chandrashekar Patil and Sunil Vallyapure from Gulbarga; Doddana Gowda from Kustagi and G. Veerappa from Kanakagiri in Koppal district; Renukacharya from Honnali in Davangere district; Venkata Muniyappa B.P. from Bangarpet in Kolar district; Shakuntala Shetty from Puttur in Daskhina Kannada district; Nehru Channabasappa Olekar from Byadagi in Haveri district; C.C. Patil from Naragund and R.B. Siriyannanavar from Navalgund in Dharwad district and Veeranna Charantimutt from Bagalkot.

Prominent among the party workers going to be made chairpersons are the former State unit president of the party B.B. Shivappa from Hassan district; Pramila Nesargi from Bangalore; Lakshminarayana Baindoor from Udupi district; M.P. Appachu Ranjan from Kodagu district; Subhash Kallur from Humnabad in Bidar district; M.D. Lakshminarayan from Turuvekere in Tumkur district and Ashok Katve from Hubli.

The other party workers in the list include Mangaladevi Biradar from Muddebihal in Bijapur district; N. Shankarappa from Raichur; Anwar Manapadi and Madhav Bhandari from Mangalore; Srikantha Kulkarni from Jamakhandi in Bagalkot district; C.M. Nimbannavar from Kalaghatagi in Dharwad district; D.A. Chillal from Gulbarga; Andanappa Agadi from Koppal; Erappa Kadadi from Gokak in Belgaum district; Padmanabha Bhat from Shikaripur in Shimoga district; B. Suresh Gowda and S. Kailash from Bangalore; Yanga Reddy from Anekal taluk and M.V. Ravishankar from Mysore.
