Power cut in many areas

BANGALORE: Several of the southern parts of the city will have no power supply between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday.

A release from Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd. said this was because of providing jump connection to the newly formed additional 150 MVA 200/66 kV transformer bay at Subramanyapura sub-station.

The affected areas are: Brigade Software Park, Sarakki Gare, Gangadhara Nagara, Vivekananda Colony, Pragathipura, Harinagara, Ramakrishnanagar, 5th Block, 3rd Block, and 2nd Block, 11th Main, 12th Main, 4th Block, 3rd Block East, 3rd Block, 4th Block East, 5th Block, 6th Block, 7th Block and 8th Block Jayanagar, 11th Main, 39th F Cross, Muniswamy Layout, M.T.B. Industrial Area, part of M.T.B. area, 16th Main, 32nd, 33rd, 34th Cross, 20th, 21st and 22nd of Corporation Layout, Thilaknagar police station, South End, Vijaranga Layout, Sakamma Garden, Hulimavu, HSBC, B.G. Road, Sarvabhumanagar, Arakere and surrounding areas, BTM 1st and 2nd Stage, KEB Layout, J.P. Nagar 2nd and 3rd Phase, KEB Colony, Kuvempunagar, Madinanagar, Central Silk Board, Kaverappa Industrial Estate, KAS & IAS Colony, Srinivasa Industrial Estate, Dollars Layout 4th Phase, Dorasanipalya, MICO Layout, Vysya Bank colony, N.S. Palya and industrial area, Bannerghatta Road, Old and New Gurappana Palya, Tavarekere, Jayanagar 1st to 4th Block, Byrasandra, 4th T Block, 9th Block, part of Hosur Road, Jayadeva Hospital, Bilekahalli, Begur, K.C.
