BANGALORE: The city police have imposed certain restrictions on vehicular movement from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on Friday in view of the Republic Day parade at Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Grounds. According to a press release from Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao, vehicles going towards Manipal Centre from CTO Circle have to take a left turn at B.R.V. Junction on Cubbon Road, enter Central Street, pass through Infantry Road, Main Guard Cross Road, Dispensary Road and Kamaraj Road and take a left turn at Kamaraj Road-Cubbon Road junction. Vehicles going towards CTO Circle from Manipal Centre junction have to turn left at Kamaraj Road-Cubbon Road junction (towards Cauvery Arts and Crafts Emporium), pass through Mahatma Gandhi Road and turn right at Anil Kumble Circle. Vehicles carrying parade and cultural programme participants should enter the parade ground through Gate-3. Those with green passes should park their vehicles on Kamaraj Road and Main Guard Cross Road and enter the ground through Gate-3. For security reasons, the police have advised the invitees and the public not to carry mobile phones, cameras, radios, and umbrellas to the parade ground, the release said.
