Tourism Minister to inaugurate the camp at Payyambalam Garden

KANNUR: The three-day State-level tourism camp for Tourism Club members will begin here on Friday.

A press release issued by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) here on Thursday said that Home and Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate the camp at the Payyambalam Garden here at 4.30 p.m. on January 26. Around 350 selected members of the Tourism Clubs functioning in higher secondary schools and colleges in the State under the Tourism Department would attend the camp, it said.

The inaugural function would be followed by cultural programmes, including kalaripayattu performance, kolkali and orchestra featuring vintage film and theatre songs. A State-level tourism quiz for higher secondary and college students will be held at the Jawahar Auditorium here on January 27.
