MUMBAI: Engineering knowledge transformation technology provider Tata Technologies iKS, based in the U.S., on Thursday announced the global launch of its completely re-architected version of the flagship product, igetit.

The latest product, aimed at incorporating social networking, would enable every individual engineer to have access to training, certifications and communities of practice with other engineers across the globe.

"The new igetit offers the engineering community 100,000 hours of professional engineering education at $25 annually,'' the company's Chief Executive Officer, Patrick McGoldrick, told reporters here.

Revenue generation

However, the company would offer the web-based product to corporate clients at $95.

The President of the company, Kevin Noe, said Tata Technologies aimed to generate $20 million through this product from India and $30 million from other parts of the world in the next three years. Tata Technologies iKS expects five lakh subscription by 2010. More than 45,000 engineers in 24 countries were now using igetit, he said. — PTI
