KOLLAM: The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) on Thursday asked the State Government not to permit Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to visit the State. Mr. Modi is scheduled to be in Thiruvananthapuram on January 29 to attend the `Hindu Maha Mela.' Addressing a press conference here, State secretary of the AIYF P.S. Supal said his organisation would observe January 29 as `anti-communal day.' He said Mr. Modi's visit to the State would only serve to spread communal hatred.
