Six-party talks to resume soon: China

BEIJING: China hopes the six-party talks will be resumed before the Chinese Lunar New Year in mid-February, said State Councillor Tang Jiaxuan here on Thursday.

``The six-party talks constitute the realistic and effective way to solving the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula,'' Mr. Tang told the visiting South Korean Foreign Minister Song Min-soon.China's Lunar New Year falls on February 18 this year. — Xinhua
