MYSORE: The Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) here has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification by the SGC certification body based in the U.K. In a press release, the DFRL said the audit certified that the quality management system was in place and there was a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction as also continuous efforts to improve quality systems. The DFRL is one of the 50-odd laboratories under the Defence Research and Development Organisation. The certificate was handed over by Parameshwara Nair of the SGS certification body to W. Selvamurthy, Chief Controller, R&D, DRDO, New Delhi, at a function recently.
