Nil customs duty on maize imports

NEW DELHI: The Central Government on Thursday issued a notification allowing imports of maize at zero customs duty till December 31. The Government had earlier exempted customs duty on wheat and pulses and had reduced customs duty on edible oils in order to keep the prices of essential commodities under check.
