KOTTAYAM: `Kerala Adfest 2007,' the annual conference of the Kerala Advertising Agencies Association, will begin at Thekkady on Friday. The three-day conference will features an array of programmes, including presentations by veterans and a session to honour the top 10 entrepreneurs in Kerala. Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac will inaugurate the conference on Friday evening. M.V. Sreyams Kumar, MLA, will deliver the keynote address. John Brittas, managing director, Kairali TV, will announce the Top Ten Award. Sajan Varghese, managing director, Mangalam; Deepu Ravi, managing editor, Kerala Kaumudi; and Rajakrishnan, CEO, Kerala Sabdom Group will extend felicitations. Those who have been selected for the Top Ten award include C.J. George, CMD, Geojit Securities; Gokulam Gopalan, CMD, Gokulam Group; Joy Alukkas, CMD, Alukkas Group; M.C. Jacob, CMD, Anna Kitex Group; Kochuauseph Chittilappally, CMD, V-Guard; V..J Kurian, chairman, Spices Board; M..E Meeran, CMD, Eastern Group; T.S. Pattabhiraman, CMD, Kalyan Silks; M.P. Ramachandran, CMD, Jyothi Laboratories; and M.A. Yusuf Ali, managing director, Emke Group. The highlights of the conference include talks on `Future of Advertising' by K. George John, CMD, TBWA/India, `Agency Management' by Sekhar Swamy, president R.K. Swamy/BBDO and a presentation on `Creativity — New Trends' by Prathap Suthan, National Creative Director, Grey Worldwide. An interactive session on `Creating Better Media-Agency Relationship' has also been scheduled.
