ELURU: The fire caused by leakage of a gas pipeline laid by the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) from Narsapur to Vijjeswaram caused panic among the people in Poduru mandal of West Godavari district on Thursday night. However, no casualty was reported. According to reports reaching here, the pipeline got damaged at Penumadam village, leading to the mishap.
Timely action
However, a fire-fighting team of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited extinguished the fire and replaced the damaged pipeline.
