22 get President's police medals

HYDERABAD: Twenty-two policemen from the State were among the winners of the President's police medals for distinguished and meritorious service announced on the eve of Republic Day-2007.

Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation VC&MD V. Dinesh Reddy, Additional DGP and Director of Police Communications S.K. Jayachandra, Additional DGP, Human Rights, Lokendra Sharma, Additional DGP, A.P. Special Police, Ambati Siva Narayana and Additional Superintendent of Police (Counter Intelligence) Vidiyala Rudra Kumar got President's Police Medal for distinguished service.

Indian Police Medal for meritorious service medal winners: DIGs Govind Singh (Visakhapatnam), Anjani Kumar (Nizamabad) and Ravi Gupta (Warangal), Home Guards Commandant K. Rajashikhamani, Malakpet ACP Suhas Chaturvedi, DSP (APFSL) U. Rama Mohan, Intelligence Inspector G. Mallaiah, Vigilance and Enforcement Inspector-Kurnool, S. Jawaharbasha.

Kurnool Town Circle Inspector Ch. Rajasekhara Reddy, ARSIs R. Bhima Rao, N. Kota Reddy, K.A. Bari, Shaik Mahaboob Basha, head constables J. Malgonda, J.R. Babu and Md.Qutbuddin and constable B.R.D. Rao.
