CHENNAI : The police have announced changes in traffic for the Republic Day celebration to be held on Kamarajar Salai on Friday. Kamarajar Salai from Light House up to War Memorial will be closed for all vehicular traffic, other than those with passes from 6 a.m. till the function ends. Dr Radhakrishnan Salai from Natesan Road Junction up to Gandhi Statue will also be closed. Vehicles from North Chennai proceedings towards Mylapore and Adyar will take Anna Salai, Pattulos Road, Royapettah and R K Mutt Road during the time of restriction. Vehicles coming from South Chennai will also take the same route in reverse direction. Vehicles with yellow passes will park at the office of the Director General of Police before 7.30 a.m. Vehicles with green passes will park at Queen Mary's College and vehicles with blue passes will park on Foreshore Road near Light House. Vehicles without car pass will park at the National Scout Training School compound on Kamarajar Salai and near Seerani Arangam.
