Show of unity

Fight with them, abuse them or loathe them.

But, you just can't do without them. Autorickshaws are once again off the road, and this time, it is for real.

Earlier, whenever an auto strike was announced, it was only a few of the umpteen unions that stuck to the agitation. The rest were always on the streets.

However, this time, the digital meter has threatened to strike the very root of their fleecing modus operandi.

The new meters are said to be 95 per cent tamperproof!

And so, here is one rare show of unity. One that has sent the city transport system slightly off track.
