HYDERABAD: The Montessori Training and Research Centre in association with Lady Hydari Club, Association Montessori Internationale and city unit is organising Montessori Centenary Celebrations on the centre premises on January 27 and 28. Director of the Centre Lakshmi Krishnakumar has said the celebrations will be inaugurated by G. Venkataswamy, MP, on January 26. Nine Montessori schools in the city will take part in the celebrations comprising Montessori material exhibition, photo exhibition on Dr. Maria Montessori's life and work and a documentary on `Montessori children at work and role of the Directress'. Since the first `House of Children' started by Dr. Montessori at San Lorenzo, Rome in 1907, her pioneering education method continued to spread through out the world, Ms. Lakshmi said.
