U-turn banned near KIMCO

Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao has imposed certain restrictions on vehicular movement to ease traffic congestion on Mysore Road. According to a press release, vehicles are banned from turning right (U-turn) at two places on Mysore Road, near BHEL Gate-1 and the Mysore Road-Outer Ring Road junction. Vehicles coming from KIMCO junction cannot turn right near BHEL Gate-1 to go towards KIMCO. Similarly, vehicles coming from Kengeri cannot turn right at the Mysore Road-Outer Ring Road junction, the release said.

Training in car washing

Canara Bank Self-Employment Training Institute For Rural Women will conduct a week's residential free training to women in "car washing" from February 5. Interested women in the age group of 18 to 35, who have studied VII standard and above, can attend the interview on February 3 at the Institute's premises at Harohalli of Kanakapura taluk at 10 a.m. For details, call 75-62260.

Eye check-up

Recruitment

Bangalore University has invited applications from candidates with first class M.Sc. Geology/ Applied Geology/ ESRM/ Mineral exploration for a post of Junior Research Faculty (JRF) in the DST funded project "Integrated study on crystal evolution and mineralisation processes in the Hungund-Yadgir transect, east Dharwad Craton, South India." Cultural evening

Rangasiri, an amateur theatre troupe, planned to offer a cultural evening comprising mime, dance drama, rendering of theatrical songs and a skit to Bangaloreans on Saturday. To be performed at Seva Sadan, in front of MLA College, Malleswaram, the programme entitled "Rangadhare", features M.S. Narasimhamurthy's play "Premachurna."
