BANGALORE: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president M. Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday made it clear that the party was not opposing action against land grabbers. He told presspersons after participating in the Republic Day function at the party office in Bangalore that the Congress did not oppose the moves by the Government to initiate action against those who have grabbed government land. Let the government punish the guilty, he said. Mr. Kharge, who recently predicted early polls to the Legislative Assembly, said the State was set to witness major political changes in the coming days. He urged the party workers to be prepared to face any political change. He said the Chief Minister should have accommodated a woman in his ministry. Mr. Kharge, while addressing party workers, recalled the role played by the party in the freedom struggle. Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly N. Dharam Singh and Union Minister of State for Planning M.V. Rajashekharan were present.
