MADIKERI: Master Kishan, Guinness record holder for being the youngest film director in the world, on Friday, called upon students to set goals in life and achieve them with all sincerity. He was addressing a gathering, comprising mostly of students, at the Basappa Cinema here after inaugurating a weeklong children's film festival here. Mt. Kishan of the " C% Footpath" fame quoted many instances where people had come out with achievements by fighting against all odds. The 10-year-old child prodigy and a class seven student from Bangalore called upon parents to identify genuine talent of their children and encourage them to become achievers. He and veteran actor/director, Jai Jagadish from Kodagu, were honoured on the occasion by the Kodagu district in-charge Minister, Ramachandra Gowda.
Subodh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, said that eight different children's films would be shown in 12 cinema halls in the district during the week. Mohammad Basheer, Deputy Director Public Instruction, welcomed the gathering.
