Focus will be on tier - II cities

Staff Reporter

MADURAI : The metros of the country, where information technology companies were concentrated, were now saturated and next wave of development would focus on tier - II cities, Praful Mayekar, account director, digiBlitz Technologies, said here on Wednesday.

He was addressing a press meet after launching the U.S.A.-based software solutions company's `Offshore Development Centre' operations.

Mr. Mayekar said that cities such as Coimbatore, Bhubaneshwar, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Madurai would be the "next growth centres."

The productivity of an employee in such cities was higher than that of their counterparts in metros, he said.

The company planned to grow from the present strength of 10 to 100 employees by the year-end, he said.

Besides working as an offshore company, it would also train people in soft skills and place them in other companies.

The company was looking mainly for engineering and M.C.A. gradates and to some extent graduates from other disciplines.

Those interested in joining the concern could contact V.V.R. Raj Satyen: 98949 74787.
