Unique silk sari launched

CHENNAI: Cooptex recently launched a unique silk sari in 1.64 lakh natural colours, named "Mayil Thogai" by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

Each sari is priced at Rs.40,000. Mr. Ramakrishnan of USA, the first to place an order for the sari, received it from Special Officer and Cooptex Managing Dirctor M.P. Nirmala.

The sari has been manufactured by Sri Ramalinga Sowdeswari Weavers Cooperative Society, Sirumugaipudur, Coimbatore district, in coordination with Cooptex.
