Titled Gadhika-2007, the fair is being organised as part of efforts to promote traditional art forms and occupations of people of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes communities. The art forms of the tribal people would be performed on every evening. There would also be a traditional food festival and demonstration of tribal methods to cure ailments. As many as 12 tribal healers would participate in the fair. Traditional foodstuffs cooked by various tribal communities will be available at the venue, District Collector A P M Mohammed Hanish said.
