JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government is formulating a State transport master plan for connecting remote villages with the transport network. The new master plan is expected to be ready for implementation by June 30 this year. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, making the announcement while laying the foundation stone for an inter-State bus terminus in Kota over the weekend, said the master plan would identify the villages and hamlets with total lack of transport facilities. These villages would be linked with the transport network on priority. Ms. Raje also laid the foundation stone for a railway over-bridge to be built in the town by the Urban Improvement Trust at a cost of Rs.15 crores. The bus terminus will be constructed at a cost of Rs.47 crores. The Chief Minister said the State Government had taken a number of steps for development of the Hadauti region, which has its divisional headquarter in Kota, in the sectors such as technical education, sports and power production.
