LONDON: Sunil Pahilajani, country head for Caparo India, has been appointed to the main board of Lord Swraj Paul's U.K.-based company Caparo. In a press release, the company said: "Mr. Pahilajani's appointment is not only in recognition of Caparo's achievements in India, but also demonstrates the importance of our Indian operations in Caparo's future growth strategy. He was educated at the Indian Institute of Technology and Nagoya University in Japan. His knowledge of the automotive sector has proved invaluable to Caparo's strategy of providing systems and solutions to the industry.'' Caparo was making significant new investments in the automotive component sector in India, it said. "Caparo is looking to rapidly expand its business in India and is actively seeking investment opportunities in a wide range of industries,'' its chief executive Angad Paul said.
