HYDERABAD: Sigma Hospitals scored an 11-run win over Super Dents in the final of the Nutriva Cup corporate cricket tournament at the Shashi Seth Stadium (Kapra) here. The scores: Final: Sigma Hospitals 255 for four in 25 overs (Srinivas 92, Zaki 71 not out) bt Super Dents 244 for five (Suman 135). Semifinals: Super Dents 206 for four in 20 overs (Hussain 67, Suman 40) bt Frindez 163 for eight (Shaji 48, Bhanu 41). Sigma Hospitals 206 for five (Sushil 86, Kiran 40) bt Magna Infotech 169. Special prizes: Suman (Super Dents, best batsman); Sampath (Magna Infotech, best bowler); Ashok (Magna Infotech, best fielder); G. Shaji (Frindez, Player of the Tournament).
SAI admissions
The Sports Authority of India has invited applications for admission to its hostel in Begumpet Police Stadium in athletics, hockey and badminton for both boys and girls and in kabaddi, judo, gymnastics and archery for boys in STC, Saroornagar. The candidates should be in the age group of 14-18 and should be medal winners at State or National-level. The applications should reach by February 2 to the concerned officers at the venues.
