AIIES tennikoit tournament

HYDERABAD: The All India Industrial Exhibition Society (AIIES) tennikoit tournament, in memory of late Dayakar Sastry, will be conducted at the Lal Bahadur stadium, Hyderabad, on January 30 and 31. It is open to all clubs, school children, junior college boys and girls.

The AIIES will also conduct volleyball and basketball tournaments at the YMCA, Hyderabad, between January 29 and 31 from 3 p.m. onwards. The events are open only to boys and girls aged below 15 years. Entries close with Mrs. Kalpana at the A.P. Olympic Bhavan, L.B. Stadium on January 28.

Fencing competition

The All India Industrial Exhibition Society (AIIES) fencing competition, in memory of late S.M. Amjad Ali Khan, will be conducted at Shree Hanuman Vyamshala, Sultan Bazar, Hyderabad, on January 28 from 5 p.m. It is open to all clubs and school children.

Parth, Dharmesh shine

Parth's knock of 53, backed up by Dharmesh's haul of four for 11, enabled Talwar post a 62-run win over Cistron in the Mason & Summers friendship cricket tournament here on Friday.

The scores: Talwar 166 for eight (Parth 53, Sanjeev 40) bt Cistron 104 for eight (Kiran 40; Dharmesh four for 11).
