Kozhikode: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district vice-president K.P. Uma Unni tendered her resignation on Saturday. In a letter to BJP State president P.K. Krishnadas, Ms. Unni, who was the party's candidate in the Manjeri Lok Sabha constituency in the last elections, said she and workers of Araya Samajam were hurt at the manner in which the current leadership was protecting those who had indulged in indiscipline, corruption and trading of votes.
Reconstitution
Ms. Uma alleged that the district reconstitution of the party had been carried out ignoring the sentiments of party workers.
