THRISSUR: District Collector M. Beena on Saturday suspended a village officer for allegedly having a flag of a political party hoisted instead of the Tricolour at a function in connection with the Republic Day. The village officer of Edathirithi was suspended on the basis of a report by the Tahsildar. The official had reportedly entrusted the task of flag hoisting with another person.
