HYDERABAD: The Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) has clarified that the gas pipeline from Narsapur to Vijjeswaram that leaked on Thursday was not operated by it, as reported in these columns from Eluru with the headline `Pipe leakage sparks panic'. GAIL owned and operated a network of 883 km of gas pipelines in Krishna and Godavari districts, which were in good condition with advanced safety systems in place.
