BJP to be part of road blockade on February 1

HYDERABAD: The BJP will be part of an all-party agitation to block the Hyderabad-Nagpur National Highway from Basavapur near Ramayampet to Adilabad on February 1 demanding establishment of the proposed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Basar.

The State general secretary of BJP, K. Laxman, told a news conference here on Saturday that he would lead the agitation on behalf of the party at Basavapur. He said the BJP would contest elections to Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry Municipal Corporations and Hindupur Municipality independently.
