Sangareddy: Medak district Collector B. Venkatesam directed officials to speed up implementation of welfare scheme failing which the district may have to forgo funds earmarked for the same. Addressing a meeting with the special officers concerned with various welfare schemes here on Saturday, the Collector informed that loans for 8,248 groups under the SC service cooperative, Rajiv Yuva Shakti, CMRY and DRDA have been sanctioned so far and only 4,120 have been grounded.
Concern
He expressed concern over the delay in implementing schemes by the Minority Welfare Corporation. He advised the concern officer to ensure that at least 40 per cent of the works relating to various projects are completed. The Collector also directed the special officer to inspect the construction of Indiramma houses from time-to-time and wanted works to be completed on the remaining 768 Indiramma Cheruvulu out of the 958 taken up for repairs immediately.
