Two killed in road accidents

CHENNAI
: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in the city on Friday night.
Police said Hemalatha (28) of Kamarajar Nagar, Avadi, died on the spot when a lorry hit the two-wheeler her husband was driving, near the Madras-Tiruvallur High Road.
The two were returning home from Tirumullaivoil with their two-year-old daughter after visiting a relative. Avadi police have registered a case. In another incident, Arul (29) of Kilpauk was killed when a container lorry hit his two-wheeler when he was waiting at an automatic traffic signal near Tirumangalam police station limits.
Tirumangalam police have arrested the lorry driver.
