Competitions for students, women

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh chapter of the National Safety Council, in collaboration with the Department of Factories, is organising competitions in painting (both for school and ITI students), slogan writing (only ITI) and essay writing (polytechnic and engineering) here on January 28.

The theme for the painting contest will be "safety, health and environment."

Although the theme for others is same the subjects will be announced at the venue--Institution of Engineers, Khairtabad, a press release said. There will be an essay-writing contest for women on `Domestic safety'. The competitions are open only to candidates from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts.

The timings of various competitions are: painting: 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. (for school students), 3.30 to 5 p.m. (ITI), slogan writing: 2.30 to 3 p.m.(ITI), essay writing: 2.30 to 3 p.m. (engineering and polytechnic), 12.30 to 1 p.m. (for women).
