Hyderabad comes under Zone VI; Education Department faulted
|
HYDERABAD:
The House Committee on implementation of GO 610 has made it clear that there is no Zone VII in the State under the Presidential Order as well as the Girglani Committee report.
The panel, which met here on Saturday under the chairmanship of N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, faulted the School and Higher Education Department for treating Hyderabad as Zone VII in filling of vacant posts. The meeting, after discussions with officials, unanimously expressed the view that Hyderabad was part of Zone VI.
The officials quoted a GO issued in 1975, which mentioned that there were seven appointment units. It endorsed the Government's action in repatriating 808 teachers working in Ranga Reddy and neighbouring Telangana districts, as recommended by the last House Committee on GO 610. The members wanted identified non-locals working in Excise Department to be repatriated.
